Big group of consortium from Busan — Busan Metropolitan City, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Korea Maritime Institute, and Pukyong National University — to explore building an aquaculture ecosystem with Wageningen and the wider industry. We convened a roundtable of qualified stakeholders to advise on Busan’s new aquaculture cluster, due for completion in 2028. Sharing our platform and experience across the Dutch and Korean sectors, we focused on turning raw materials into high-value products and on advancing food technology through Netherlands–South Korea collaboration.

We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chosun University’s Marine Bio Research Center and Marine Healthcare Efficacy Demonstration Center. Together, we focus on joint academic research, education programs to develop marine experts, and wider cooperation across the marine and seaweed sector.
